NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Police responded to a shooting in Norfolk late Friday night.
According to police, the call for the shooting came in just after 10 p.m. in the 1100 block of Little Bay Ave.
A man suffering from a gunshot wound was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries considered not life-threatening.
The investigation revealed that a homeowner shot the man after feeling threatened. The man who was shot was armed with a pipe.
According to Norfolk Police, the homeowner and the man are not believed to be related.
The investigation is ongoing.
