Update: Due to inclement weather the Virginia Zoo’s Adult Night was rescheduled for July 27.
NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The Virginia Zoo in Norfolk is hosting another adults-only night on Saturday, July 27 from 5-8 p.m. Originally it was schedule on Saturday, July 13, but was rescheduled due to weather.
The popular event for guests 21+ gives grownups a chance to “unleash their inner wild child,” according to organizers.
There will be free activities like bounces houses, lawn games and a DJ dance party.
Animal exhibit trails will be open past regular hours, giving guests a chance to witness animal activity at night.
To beat the heat, guests can enjoy a “splash zone,” train rides on the Virginia Zoo Express, splash pad fountains, and alcoholic ICEEs.
This event will also serve mixed drinks and canned beer and wine and seltzers. Big Ugly Brewing and Waters Edge Winery will offer free beer and wine samples, with full pours at an additional cost.
Local food trucks and vendors will be in attendance for a mini shopping market. Hampton Roads Prides, Pink Boots Society, and Coastal Virginia Brewery Alliance will meet guests and share more about their organizations.
If you are interested in attending this after-hours event, the Virginia Zoo suggests you buy your tickets soon since this event typically sells out. A member ticket is $22; the non-member cost is $37.
