NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Nauticus is gearing up for the annual WinterFest on the Wisconsin, with the addition of a new holiday movie theme.
According to a release, WinterFest will feature a 35-foot-tall leg lamp, a larger-than-life Ralphie from a Christmas Story, two Grinch ‘takeover’ nights and a new train display for the upcoming 2024 season.
Leading up to the WinterFest extravaganza, guests will have the opportunity to be a part of the experience by voting on which movies you love to watch during the holiday season. Click here to submit your vote.
“It’s our fifth season of WinterFest and we’re going full out Griswold,” executive director of Nauticus Stephen E. Kirkland said. “We’ve been watching holiday movies around here since March to get in the zone.”
WinterFest will also several new additions for the 2024 season, including a team of elves recreating classic holiday movie scenes, nightly magic performances, juggling and never-before-seen spaces aboard the Battleship Wisconsin.
Tickets for WinterFest, which will be open on select nights from Nov. 15 through Jan. 1, go on sale starting on Monday, Oct. 7.
General admission tickets start at $22 for adults and $18 for children ages 3-12. Children two and under can attend WinterFest for free.
