PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Portsmouth Police confirmed Monday that two people were injured in a shooting incident over the weekend: a man and a juvenile female. They both have serious injuries.
The call for the shooting came in around 7:28 p.m. Saturday. Portsmouth officials say the investigation revealed the shooting began in the 4700 block of Portsmouth Boulevard, and the incident ended around the corner, on Greeneland Boulevard.
The man suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital after the shooting. The girl’s condition is considered serious. In a tweet Monday, police said she was receiving treatment.
Both victims are in stable condition.
Police said more is to follow as information becomes available.
