VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Two people were arrested after shooting into an occupied vehicle last week in Virginia Beach, police say.

It happened in the 600 block of Aubrey Drive in the Newtown Road area just after 7 p.m. on June 12.

Virginia Beach police say they were tipped about the shooting via a ShotSpotter alert, as well as the person inside the vehicle. The victim was unharmed, but police did find a bullet hole in the vehicle.

Police were able to identify two suspects in the case, 37-year-old Virginia Beach resident Deondris Caine and 39-year-old Virginia Beach resident Tyisha Davis, and they were both arrested on June 13.

Cain is charged with attempted malicious wounding, four counts of conspiracy, maliciously throwing missile at an occupied vehicle, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Davis is charged with maliciously shooting at an occupied vehicle and conspiracy.
