HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – Two people were found shot Friday evening on Michigan Avenue in Hampton, including one with life-threatening injuries, Hampton Police said.

Hampton Public Safety Communications received multiple calls in reference to shots fired in the 300 block of Michigan Drive around 10:28 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found a man in the 100 block of Michigan Drive suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital for what appeared to be a non-life-threatening injury, police said.

While at the scene, Hampton Police said they were told of another victim, a man in the 400 block of Michigan Avenue suffering from gunshot wounds. That person, police said, was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police said they were investigating the motive and circumstances surrounding the incident, and they had no suspect information at this time.
