ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (WAVY) — An 18-year-old man was arrested after reportedly lingering near a Cook Out while holding a rifle, police said.
Around 12 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, Elizabeth City Police Department responded to the Cook Out restaurant on W. Ehringhaus Street for a report of a man lingering in the area.
The subject was reported to be wearing a hoodie and facemask, and holding what appeared to be a rifle. Arriving officers identified a suspect matching the descriptions, and arrested 18-year-old Kohl Farr.
Farr had what appeared to be a long gun tucked into the front of his pants, police said. Officers located and seized an AR15 Pistol chambered in 300 Blackout from Farr’s waistband, police said. Farr was charged with going armed to the terror of the public and carrying a concealed weapon.
Farr was placed in Albemarle District Jail under a no bond with a first appearance scheduled for Thursday, March 7, 2024 in Pasquotank County District Court.
