VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Police are searching for suspects following a police pursuit Friday morning went through three Hampton Roads cities.

According to Virginia State Police, the call for the pursuit came in around 4:30 a.m. on I-64 in Chesapeake. Police say a 2021 Hyundai Sonata failed to yield when officers attempted to stop it for reckless driving.

The driver continued through Virginia Beach and into Norfolk where the driver exited at the 15th View Entrance Ramp. Police say the occupants of the vehicle were seen throwing items out of the window.

The vehicle then continued down Ocean View Avenue and then lost control and crashed on Granby St. After the vehicle crashed, police say three men fled the scene which then initiated a foot pursuit.

Police say one juvenile was arrested and efforts are being made to identify and locate the other two.

The vehicle has not been reported stolen as of last night and the suspects are believed that the suspects were involved in another incident before the pursuit.

No injuries have been reported. The investigation is ongoing.
