Police: Man dead and woman injured after shooting in Suffolk

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A man is dead and a woman is seriously hurt after a shooting in Suffolk on Monday morning, police said.

Around 6:20 a.m., Suffolk police responded to the 300 block of Linden Avenue for the reports of gunshots in the area. After arriving, they found a man dead and a woman shot and in serious condition.


Suffolk Fire & Rescue responded and transported the injured woman to a local hospital for treatment. She was listed in “critical but stable” condition as of Monday morning. The deceased male was identified as 30-year-old Frenando Holland.

The incident appears to be domestic in nature, and Suffolk Police are not currently searching for a suspect.
