PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — On Feb. 22, around 4:15 p.m., fire crews in Portsmouth responded to a residential structure fire in the 1700 block of South Street, officials said.
Crews arrived to find an active fire in a two-story apartment.
Portsmouth Fire Rescue and Emergency Services began an interior attack and gained control of the fire. The scene is still active at this time and is under investigation.
There were no fire service injuries reported.
