Man killed, 2 women hurt in Portsmouth stabbing; suspect arrested

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — A man is dead and two women are hurt after a domestic stabbing incident over the weekend in Portsmouth.

A suspect, 44-year-old Shon Oliver, has been arrested in the case and charged with first-degree murder and two counts of aggravated malicious wounding. Police announced his arrest on Wednesday, Oct. 16.

Police say the stabbing happened on Saturday, Oct. 12 around 1:10 p.m. in the 200 block of Webster Avenue in the Park View area.

The man who was fatally stabbed, 64-year-old Charles Green, was pronounced dead at the scene. The two women were also suffering from stab wounds and taken to the hospital, where they are expected to make full recoveries, police said.
