PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY)– Multiple agencies assisted with a fire in Portsmouth early Tuesday morning.
According to officials, Portsmouth Fire, Rescue and Emergency crews were dispatched to the 30 block of Farragut Street at 1:30 a.m. for the report of a residential structure fire. This is in the Cradock section of the city.
When crews arrived, they found visible fire coming from a two-story multi-family complex and initiated an offensive attack.
Crews from Portsmouth, Navy Region Mid-Atlantic and Chesapeake were able to quickly have the fire under control, and was officially marked out at 2:24 a.m.
The units affected by the fire were all unoccupied.
No injuries were reported.
The fire is under investigation by the Portsmouth Fire Marshal’s Office.
