PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Portsmouth Fire Rescue and Emergency Services responded to a residential fire early Thursday morning.

According to officials, crews were notified of a residential fire in the 3400 block of Arlington Place, near Portsmouth Fire Station 7, on Jan. 18 at approximately 3:34 a.m.

Crews arrived to the scene as the occupants were evacuating the structure, and an aggressive interior attack was enacted.

The fire was called under control by 3:47 a.m., and no injuries were reported.

After an initial investigation, the fire was deemed accidental.

Four people have been displaced, but are currently staying with family in the area.
