PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – The family of the missing ship worker confirmed on Monday that his body was found near the Portsmouth Marine Terminal.
10 On Your Side’s Andy Fox spoke to the family of 33-year-old Derrick Fluellen, who was last seen working on the “Atlantic Oceanic” around 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 26. On Monday, Nov. 4, the family confirmed that Fluellen’s body was recovered.
At the time of his disappearance, Fluellen was working fire watch on the Atlantic Oceanic, a 250-foot long vessel used to help install Dominion Energy’s Coastal Virginia Offshore wind project.
