PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Charges in a sexual assault case in Portsmouth were nolle prosequi, or withdrawn, during a May 31 court hearing in Portsmouth General District Court.
The 60-year-old suspect was facing charges of abduction and rape connected to an incident that happened on April 22 near the 1800 block of County Street.
He has been held at the Portsmouth City Jail without bond since his arrest, police said.
