PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — A man was hospitalized after being shot in Portsmouth.
Wednesday around 10:45 a.m., Portsmouth police responded to the 800 block of Williamsburg Avenue for a shooting.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
Police said the man was taken to a local hospital by medics.
A WAVY viewer sent us video she took of the active police scene, showing officers surrounding a person near the train tracks.
