PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Police said a person in the area of Dewey and Bagley streets in Portsmouth reported being shot Wednesday evening.

Portsmouth Police responded to the scene around 7:48 p.m. for “a person complaining of a possible gunshot wound.”

Police said the person was taken to an area hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
