PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — A big information technology conference is taking place in Portsmouth this week.

The Association of Collegiate Computing Services of Virginia is hosting the event at the Renaissance Hotel.

The three-day event features many speakers and events for those in the field to learn, including lessons on artificial intelligence, cloud technology and help with needs in the workplace and in higher education.

This includes everything from cybersecurity to tech in the classroom.

People 10 On Your Side spoke with say it’s a field that always evolves.

“Everything in my industry is new, especially in the audiovisual world,” said Mike Shaner of Pavion. “Everything that is new today will be replaced by some new product that will be out in six months, so it changes rapidly.”

The conference runs through Friday. For more information, go here.
