PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Two Portsmouth schools have dismissed students early Wednesday after receiving bomb threats.

According to an email sent to parents and faculty, Waters Middle School says a bomb threat was called into the main office Wednesday morning.

Out of an abundance of caution, Waters Middle School was evacuated immediately and dismissed students at 10:45 a.m.

A spokesperson also confirmed with 10 On Your Side that Cradock Middle School also received a bomb threat Wednesday morning and dismissed students at 11 a.m.

These early dismissals come as many schools across Hampton Roads have received bomb threats over the past few days.
