Study: Two Hampton Roads cities cited in worst city for grass allergies

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Two Hampton Roads cities were in the top 10 on a recent survey by Lawn Love for the worst cities for people with grass allergies this summer.

Virginia Beach and Hampton were ranked No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. Washington D.C. came in the No. 1 spot for the worst city for those with a grass allergy. The study was sorted into three categories: allergy risk, allergen severity and lack of access to allergy care.


Virginia Beach received an overall score of 70.9 out of 100.

Hampton received an overall score of 70.24 out of 100.
