SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Three people were displaced by a large house fire in Suffolk early Sunday morning.

Around 5:30 a.m. crews were called to the 4400 block of Winona Trail. They arrived on the scene to find heavy smoke and fire showing from the two-car garage.

Officials said the fire rapidly spread to the room above the garage and the attic. The fire and smoke caused extensive damage to the home.

Crews were able to bring the fire under control by 6:26 a.m.

The fire marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire. No one was hurt.
