House fire in Suffolk leaves three displaced, including two children

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Three people, including two children, are displaced after an overnight house fire in Suffolk.

Sunday around2:30 a.m., Suffolk Fire & Rescue responded to the 600 block of Hollywood Avenue for a house fire. Crews arrived on the scene to find heavy smoke showing from the rear and the roof of the two-story home.

Everyone inside the home was able to make out out before firefighters arrived.

Officials said the fire had made it way to the attic and caused significant fire and smoke damage to the home. Crews were able to bring the fire under control by 3:37 a.m.

The Suffolk Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire.

No one was hurt.
