SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — One man was hurt after an early morning shooting on Wednesday in Suffolk, police said.

Around 1:30 a.m., Suffolk Emergency Communications Center received notification of a shooting incident located in the 200 block of Pitchkettle Road. Police arrived to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was treated on the scene by Suffolk Fire & Rescue before being transported to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
