SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The City of Suffolk Department of Fire and Rescue responded to reports of a vehicle that crashed into a building Friday morning.
According to officials, at 6:54 a.m. a vehicle struck a building in the 400 block of Wellons Street.
Crews arrived to the scene and found damage on the side of a tax-payer style commercial building with an apartment building on the second floor.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene after striking the building, officials said.
Crews on scene worked to shore the wall. An inspection of the building indicated no structural damage to the building.
No injuries were reported, and the crash remains under investigation.
