SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Keep Suffolk Beautiful and the Suffolk-Nansemond Izaak Walton League will hold their next Nansemond River Cleanup Oct. 12.

The event’s objective is to tackle waste in both land and water, which starts from the downtown section of the river and extends to nearby areas. Volunteers who want to participate in cleaning the river should bring their watercraft. Those cleaning on land will help in areas that require attention.
