Teen boy charged in Chesapeake homicide case

CHESAPEAKE Va. (WAVY) — A 17-year-old boy has been charged in connection to a homicide in Chesapeake, police said.

Around 6:45 p.m. June 8, Chesapeake police officers responded to the 1100 block of Sir Lancelot Drive to reports of an injured person. When officers arrived on scene they found 21-year-old Khyree Malik Slan with a gunshot wound and life-threatening injuries. Slan died at the hospital.

The teen has been charged with second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and underage possession of a handgun.
