PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Friday night’s severe weather knocked out power for more than 11,000 households around the region.
The bulk of the outages are in Suffolk and Isle of Wight. Small pockets of outages have also been reported across the area.
The storms brought heavy rain, strong wind gusts and lightning.
Meteorologist Ashley Baylor received reports of trees down in Isle of Wight and Southampton counties
