PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — A truck crashed through a guardrail Thursday afternoon on I-264 in Portsmouth.

It happened at 2:44 p.m. on eastbound I-264 at exit 6 near mile marker 6.1, just down from the Downtown Tunnel.

Photos from a WAVY viewer shows the truck stopped at the tree line, after smashing through the barrier. It’s unclear if the driver was hurt.

Virginia State Police are investigating.
