VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — With a theme of weight management and metabolic health, the Virginia Beach Seventh-Day Adventist Church will host a free spring Community Health and Wellness Education Day from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
The event will have the following:
- Four lectures on different themes related to the topics
- Free health screenings including vital signs, blood glucose, hemoglobin A1c, weight assessments
- Free services that include nutrition consultations, prayer/chaplaincy care, and counseling services
- Free health literature and some prize giveaways
- Community health resources, with tables from Virginia Beach Department of Public Health, Virginia Beach Beach Department of Human Resources and the Sentara Community Health division
The church is at 4136 Holland Road in Virginia Beach and the event is open to the public.
