VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Virginia Beach police are investigating a crash involving a motorcycle and a fuel tanker on Saturday evening.

According to police, the call for the crash came in around 5 p.m. in the 1900 block of Laskin Rd. Police say the crash involved a motorcycle with two occupants, a pickup truck and a semi-truck.

An investigation showed that the motorcycle attempted to avoid a crash with the pickup truck which caused the rider to loose control. The drive of the semi-truck then went off the roadway in an attempt to avoid the crash.

Police say the two people on the motorcycle were ejected. The passenger, a 19-year-old woman, was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries. The driver of the motorcycle, a 21-year-old man, was also transported but with minor injuries.

Police say there are no charged at this time.
