VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia State Police clocked a driver going 133 mph in a 55-mph zone in Virginia Beach.

The offense happened Dec. 1. just after 3 p.m. on Interstate 264 eastbound near Witchduck Road.

State Police posted a redacted copy of the summons to its social media pages just before New Year’s as a reminder to “Drive smart, stay safe!”

According to the summons, the driver was in a two-door white Mustang. The driver was charged with reckless driving, which in Virginia is speeding more than 20 mph above the posted limit.

The court date is scheduled for Jan. 31.
