VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — This weekend includes some monstrous events, including a Monster Truck show.

From Friday through Sunday, May 19. Pungo Offroad Monsters on the Beach, presented by Eastern Truck & Accessories is celebrating its 25th edition this year. The event features a race and stunt course in the sand at 6th Street where fans can view from bleachers on the boardwalk.

The overall winner will take home the George Carpenter Cup and the coveted title of “King of the Beach.”

For $15, spectators and ticket holders can sign up to feel what it’s like to be a monster truck driver and ride over bumps, dips and jumps. The Monster Trucks giving rides this year are “Identity Theft” and “Crunch Time.”

The events includes Monster Truck drivers such as Virginia Beach local father and son drivers for “Stone Crusher” (Steve Sims) and “Hooked” (Steven Smith), along with “Illuminator,” “Tailgator,” “Dirt Crew,” “Blockhead,” “Toxic” and “Bad Company” are set to return while “Maximus” is a first time competitor at the Virginia Beach event.

    • Showtimes at 12 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

    • Monsters Experience 12:30 p.m.
    • Showtime at 2 p.m.
