Police: Bicyclist killed in Virginia Beach crash

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A bicyclist was killed in a late-night crash in Virginia Beach.

Just after 11 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to 900 block of General Booth Boulevard for the report of a crash.


First responders arrived on the scene and immediately began to render aid to the cyclist, later identified as Christopher Malik, 34, of Pennsylvania. However, Malik was pronounced dead at the scene in spite of their efforts.

The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and cooperated with investigators.

This investigation is still underway, and no charges have been filed, at this time.
