VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Police responded to an incident in Virginia Beach Saturday afternoon at a 7-Eleven involving a juvenile with a gunshot wound.

Officers arrived at the scene in the 300 block of South Rosemont Road around 2:10 p.m. and located the victim. He was transported to the hospital with an injury that was not life-threatening.

Detectives learned that the actual shooting happened in the 700 block of Garfield Avenue, about a mile away.

The case is under investigation. Virginia Beach Police are working to identify the shooter.
