VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Three adults, one teen and one dog were displaced due to a house fire Tuesday afternoon.

According to officials, crews with the Virginia Beach Fire Department were dispatched to the 700 block of 15th Street just before 1 p.m. for reports of a residential structure fire.

Crews arrived to the scene and found heavy smoke coming from the first-floor garage of a three-story duplex.

The fire was contained to the garage and was marked out by 1:30 p.m., fire crews said.

No injuries were reported and the Red Cross has been called to assist the impacted families.

The cause remains under investigation.
