VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – The Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) responded to a call for a burglary on East Bay Shore Drive early Monday morning.

According to officials, officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of East Bay Shore Drive around 6:42 a.m. for reports of a burglary.

Andrew Klonowski (VBSO)

Police said one suspect, 42-year-old Andrew Klonowski, was taken into custody and charged with burglary of a dwelling at night, possession of burglarous tools and intentionally damaging/destroying any property/monument greater than $1,000.

This remains an active investigation and VBPD has not released any additional information on the incident.
