VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Virginia Beach Police have charged Randall Sava, 24, of Jacksonville, Florida following a single vehicle crash Monday morning.
Sava is charged with misdemeanor driving without a license, felony possession of Schedule I/II narcotics and misdemeanor animal neglect.
Witnesses reported that Sava passed through an intersection and slammed the box truck he was driving into a traffic signal pole.
Sava and the passenger, Katrina Stone, 28, of Beverly Hills, Florida were taken to the hospital. Stone later died due to her injuries.
Virginia Beach Emergency Communications received a call for a crash at Independence Blvd. and Ewell Rd. around 7:09 a.m. on Monday.
