NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The Virginia Zoo will host its first sensory friendly morning on Sunday, Nov. 3 in partnership with the Autism Society Tidewater Virginia and Complete the Puzzle.

According the zoo’s website, sensory free mornings will allow guest of all abilities and needs to experience the zoo in a less overwhelming environment.

During sensory free events, programs will be adapted to provide stress-free activities for a reduced number of visitors.

Timed tickets will be required for entry to the Zoo for this special event. The Zoo says that ticket link will be available here, soon.

A limited number of KultureCity Sensory bags will be available for check-out in the membership office.
