PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — 10 On Your Side is honored to have won five awards at Saturday evening’s 66th Capital Emmys ceremony.
We won an Emmy for our special “Opioids: What every family should know.”
In addition, our Assistant Chief Photographer Kevin Romm won as video essayist for his “Unsolved Series: Catching Kathleen’s Killer.”
The sun is shining bright on Meteorologist Steve Fundaro after bringing home an Emmy for his feature story “Skate Across America.”
WAVY Reporter Chris Horne won the technology category for a special report from last year titled “Rapid Research”.
And our James Kattato knocked it out of the park with an Emmy win for sports anchor.

Virginia Association of Broadcasters
WAVY also won several Virginia Association of Broadcasters awards during a ceremony Friday night, for Outstanding 6pm Newscast, our creative services department took home two wins and our sports team took home second place for Best Sportscast.
