CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – Take a journey through the forested wetlands and a paved path along the wilderness of the Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge at the annual Dismal Swamp Stomp.
Runners can opt for half marathon, 5K, or kids half mile distances. Racers will be able to keep track of their times with ease. There will be live split and finish results to mobile devices and social media, in addition to onsite results available at kiosks and from QR codes on bibs.
After the race, stick around for the post race party with local brews, music, food and awards. Enjoy delicious BBQ by Mobile Pignic Catering, local brews by Chesapeake’s favorite Big Ugly Brewery, and live music by Milk Crate Mafia.
The Dismal Swamp Stomp is this Saturday, April 6th. The first race begins at 8am. Registration starts at $40.
