KILL DEVIL HILLS, N.C. (WAVY) — A 20-year-old Williamsburg woman died after being struck by a Jeep early this morning in Kill Devil Hills.
The Kill Devil Hills Police Department says it happened around 1:08 a.m. on US 158 near Ocean Acres Drive.
Police say the woman who died, Ashley Elizabeth Williams, was a pedestrian and ran into the highway in the Jeep’s path. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation found that neither speed nor alcohol were a factor for the driver of the Jeep.
“The Kill Devil Hills Police Department extends our condolences to the Williams family,” the police department said.
