ACCOMACK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — The woman accused of crashing into three pedestrians, killing one, was found not guilty in involuntary manslaughter, and guilty of careless driving on March 29.
Erika Bailey, her boyfriend and her 6-year-old daughter were struck from behind by an SUV will walking on April 12, 2023. Bailey was killed on impact, and her daughter and boyfriend were seriously injured.
Jessica Waterfield was charged in connection to the incident.
A source inside the court told 10 On Your Side’s Lauryn Moss that the court came back with a not guilty verdict for involuntary manslaughter, but did find the defendant guilty of careless driving.
