WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) — A man will spend five years and six months behind bars for shooting at a home on Ernestine Avenue in Williamsburg back in 2017.
Deondre Pittman was sentenced in the Williamsburg/James City County Circuit Court on Wednesday.
The incident happened just after midnight on Dec. 13. Officers were called to the home and found it had been hit with multiple rounds, but no one inside the home was injured.
Pittman and another suspect, Nazir Perry, were both arrested in connection to the shooting after officers found them in a vehicle near the scene.
Pittman was 20 years-old at the time of his arrest. He was originally charged with unlawfully shooting into an occupied dwelling, firearm possession by felon, concealed weapon, fleeing from law enforcement and obstruction of justice.
Court records show Perry was sentenced to one year in prison for an accessory charge in January.
