PASQUOTANK CO., N.C. (WAVY) – The Pasquotank County Sheriff confirms his department is investigating a homicide Saturday night.

Sheriff Randy Cartwright said a man was killed on Esclip Road near the intersection with Dry Ridge Road around 6:45 p.m. The man appeared appeared to have died from gunshot wounds. 

Cartwright said an autopsy is scheduled to be performed on the shooting victim in Greenville.

The State Bureau of Investigation and the Dare County Sheriff’s Office are assisting with the investigation.
