VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A Virginian Beach man finally received his punishment for two rapes committed back in 1984.
Rubin Slade Jr., 58, will serve 2 life terms in prison for two counts of rape. He was 24 at the time of the crimes.
Police say in September of 1984 he broke into a woman’s home on Kentucky Avenue in Virginia Beach and sexually assaulted her.
Then the next month, they say he abducted and assaulted a woman on 24th Street at the Oceanfront.
Slade pleaded guilty back in February.
