NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A man was taken to the hospital after he was shot on 26th Street in Norfolk Tuesday night, police say.
Norfolk police said in a news release officers responded to a home in the 200 block of W. 27th Street, near Omohundro Avenue, around 11:15 p.m. following reports of a shooting.
Police said a 25-year-old man with gunshot wound a was transported to the hospital. His injuries were not life-threatening.
The man told officers was meeting with two people in the 100 block of E. 26th Street, off Granby Street, when he was shot by one of them, police said.
The man then fled to the 27th Street home, which is a little less than half a mile away.
