PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — A man was stabbed at a Portsmouth apartment overnight.
Portsmouth police say officers were called to the London Oaks apartment complex on Virginia Avenue around 1 a.m. Wednesday.
Paramedics took a man to nearby Maryview Hospital. Portsmouth police spokesperson Misty Holley says the man suffered minor injuries.
Police are working to find a suspect and a motive.
Last Monday, someone shot two people at the same apartment complex. One of the victims, a man, was found at the scene with a gunshot wound to the lower body.
He was taken to the hospital with injuries considered to be serious. Police say the second victim drove to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment.
