Man wanted in connection to shooting on Albert E. Simpson St. in Hampton

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Hampton police are looking for a convicted felon who’s wanted in connection to a July 28 shooting on Albert E. Simpson Street. 

Jimmy Antwan Anthony Sr., 33, of Hampton is wanted for one count of maiming, one count of use of a firearm and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Police say he also has a previous active warrant connected to a felony probation violation related to the sale of illegal narcotics. 


His last known address was in the first block of Cornelius Drive, according to police. 

A 60-year-old man received a non life-threatening single gunshot wound when he was shot around 2 a.m. in the 200 block of Albert E. Simpson St. Police said the victim and Anthony got into a fight before the shooting.
