PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – The USCGC Tampa is scheduled to return to its home port in Portsmouth on April 26.
They are returning from an 88-day patrol in the Florida Straits and the Caribbean Sea.
Tampa typically deploys for about two to three months at a time, typically executes missions such as search and rescues, drug interdiction and migrant interdiction.
Tampa is homeport with eight of its sister ships, which includes USCGC Northland, USCGC Seneca, and USCGC Spencer.
