GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — After having some success on the social media platform X, MrBeast is taking his videos to the other side of the world to introduce them to a whole new world of fans.

On Tuesday, Jimmy Donaldson, also known as MrBeast, made his surprise debut on Chinese video service Bilibili Inc., the country’s version of YouTube. More than 5,000 viewers were watching around 6 p.m. Hong Kong time, only seven hours after the post.

Fortune reports that platforms such as YouTube, Facebook and Instagram are banned or closed off to local users. However, MrBeast isn’t completely unknown in China. Forbes reports he picked Bilibili for his Chinese debut because of its similarities with YouTube, according to Eyal Baumel who is managing MrBeast’s media in China.

MrBeast also shared on his X account that the video he took to the platform made a decent amount of money, at least by his standards.

Baumel said MrBeast plans to launch accounts on other sites such as Douyin, Kuaishou, Weibo and Xiaohongshu in the coming months.
